What studio teams tell us

Before newzara, our camera and lighting bookings lived in three spreadsheets and a lot of memory. Now the gallery, the floor and the engineers see the same plan. Last-minute rig changes between bulletins no longer cause the confusion they used to.

  • The shared rundowns changed our mornings. Producers and directors work from one schedule, and the technical crew know their calls without chasing anyone. It suits a daily bulletin well.

Marcus Dellow · Senior Producer, daily news programme
  • Equipment records are finally clear. I can see which lenses are out, what is due for maintenance and what is free for Thursday's recording, all in one place.

Sunita Kapoor · Technical Operations Lead, entertainment studio
  • Priya helped us set up crew workflows that matched how our live show really runs. The cue tracking and run-sheets are simple, and the floor team picked them up quickly.

Our approach

How we treat the feedback we receive

Comments from clients reach us in different ways: a message after a project, a conversation during a review, or a note from a crew member who has simply found something awkward. We read all of it, because the people on the studio floor notice problems long before a manager does.

Most of what we hear is practical. Studio teams tell us when a booking screen asks for too much, when a shot list is hard to read from the gallery, or when a rundown needs another column. These small points shape how the platform develops far more than any large idea.

Daniel Okafor and his engineering colleagues go through this feedback regularly and decide what changes the tools. Hannah Whitfield and Priya Nair also bring in what they see when they sit with a newsroom or a live show and watch a real day unfold.

Not every request is taken up. A change has to help the whole crew, not only one department, and it must keep the shared workspace calm rather than crowded. When we decline something, we try to explain why and suggest another way of working.

If you have used newzara and have something to say, positive or critical, we would like to hear it. You can write to us through the contact page, and your comments will be read by the people who build and support the service.
